Winnie Monsod Interview with Mikey Arroyo

I can't help it! Goodness! This is such an irritating interview. Mikey Arroyo remained elusive throughout his grilling by Arnold Clavio and most especially Winnie Monsod. Kudos to Winnie for being so brave to throw all those questions and explicitly tell Mikey Arroyo that he IS answerable to the public! Did you see the smirk on Mikey Arroyo's face when he replied, "If you are in doubt you can sue me in court"?

Well Mikey Arroyo never answered anything with a period. He couldn't answer anything straight, in fact. If he does attempt to, the replies turn out to be so flimsy that he makes us all look so stupid.

Mikey justified his millions by saying he and his wife received monetary gifts from their wedding. And then he received donations for his campaign. And so from 5 million, their assets miraculously shot up to 176 million? Is he saying that a wedding and an election campaign are profitable? Let's all get married and run for public positions! Was the Philippines born yesterday?

Mikey Arroyo refuses to disclose the shareholders' names of the house in Foster City, California. It's because he has no one to disclose in the first place. There is no corporation. That house is solely their property. Arroyo property.

This is a serious matter, and the whole nation yearns to know why the president and her family is living a very lavish lifestyle while gas prices continue to surge and living conditions get worse every day. It is a serious matter that Mikey Arroyo easily shrugged off with smirks and chuckles.

No wonder we are in shit right now.

C'mon people, don't hate the guy. It's quite obvious and very simple. His vast fortune came from the revenues of his movies. We all know his movies were such blockbusters, right? Showbiz is such a lucrative business, isn't it.

Woohoo, Mikey!!! Why not make more movies and buy more houses abroad?

This is event is a prime example of "Let's Continue the Legacy of the Marcos'". Their cronies formed business companies to divert/distribute their illegal wealth. Imelda when she was asked about her wealth told us that as a 1st lady she received gifts from dignitaries/people that's why Mikee is safe in saying the same thing. If the marcos' and their cronies got away why wouldn't Mikee and our future leaders be? The sorry state of the country is that GMA prosecuted ERAP last time and somehow made her government legitimate. Now that she's now being reported to have anomalies against the gevernment herself there's nobody around to stand for justice.

yes, i've always believed that GMA is like Marcos in a lot of ways. in fact, GMA is holding it much steadier now than Marcos did in his days. She had obviously learned so much from her predecessors' mistakes.

The Arroyos are still lucky, the Filipinos do not have the killer instinct. Otherwise, they would have been wiped out by now. Abu Sayyaf, please come to the rescue!!

Politics is very profitable in the Philippines.

For every government project , almost 70% of the actual budget goes to the pockets of politicians, 10% kay Mr. X, 10% kay Mr. Y and so on.

Every month these politicians gets non taxable allowances, some even up to 1M, which of course comes from the taxpayers money. Not saying, they do get bonuses. They even have ghost employees.

Politicians squabble over external issues in the hope that the public and media won't go after their pending issues/cases. They would rather discuss video scandals than put more effort in sorting out their unexplained wealth growth. I guess they don't need to explain such wealth growth to each other.

Imagine a country where politics actually work and politicians honestly serve for the best interest of the people/country.

How many countries have surpassed the economic growth of the Philippines?

Don't say that its hard to manage the Philippines because the islands are divided. Come on, over the past years prices for telecommunications and internet have been dropping, shouldnt it be getting easier?

2010 elections is now being drizzled by the "Ako Mismo" initiative. I wonder how many politicians would actually take up this ideology towards positive country growth.

You're stupid to post something like that. I am willing to bet that you are a Filipino. Shame on you.

If not, Stop pretending you're a saint. Like you don't have people like that in your country. Stupid ass.
